Are skunks or raccoons digging up your lawn? Do you have large patches of dead grass? These are signs you have lawn grubs. Lawn Grubs are the larval stage of May/June Beetles, Japanese Beetles and European Chafers.  Lawn Guardian consists of beneficial nematodes that are microscopic organisms.

Beneficial nematodes are naturally occurring, earth friendly microscopic worms. They safely attack root eating grubs in the larval stage by infecting the host grub with bacteria causing the insect to die allowing the nematodes to feed and reproduce.

They also control larva of Iris Borers, Black Vine Weevil, Cutworms, Fleas and Webworm.

They are very safe! Nematodes do not harm people, pets, plants, beneficial insects (like earthworms or ladybugs), or your lawn.

How do you use Nematodes?

Following the easy three (3) step mixing instructions. Water your lawn; mix the nematodes by adding them to a bucket of water at room temperature. Let them spread into the water for 20 minutes...Mix well. Fill the applicator with solution, attach it to the hose and spray. Repeat until the solution is finished.
One package covers 2000-3000 sq ft. Apply to your lawn or garden in the early morning or late afternoon or on cloudy days as exposure of nematodes to ultraviolet light will kill them. Keep your lawn moist for a minimum of three (3) days or plan your application when rain is in the forecast.

When do I use Nematodes?

Apply when insects are actively feeding, usually May and again in late August/September. Soil temperatures must be at least 10C (50F) and are most effective when soil temperatures are between 15C to 25C. Keep your nematodes refrigerated until day of use.
